From Heart to Song: How Everyday Moments Become Lyrics
Hello, dear music friends!
I’m Evelin Vordermeier, writing to you from beautiful Perth, Australia, where I spend my days crafting lyrics in both English and German.
What I enjoy most is writing my own original songs, taking the small, everyday experiences that touch my heart and turning them into words that sing. A chance conversation, a sunset walk, a wave of nostalgia… these moments become the seeds of a song.
Sometimes the lyrics pour out in one joyful session, as if they’ve been waiting to be born. Other times, the words play hide and seek, needing patience and gentle coaxing until they finally reveal themselves.
Yet the deepest reward is seeing raw feelings — joy, longing, love, or reflection — transformed into lyrics, and then watching a composer weave the perfect melody around them. In that collaboration, the song is truly completed, and a piece of my soul finds its voice. There’s nothing quite like it.
